OBSCURE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

 

While we want to encourage you and our other users a new and fun way to communicate and express yourselves, we want everyone to enjoy their OBSCURE experience.  While some or all of your communication may be with your friends and familiar contacts, you may choose to use the find-others feature (indicated by a “+” symbol) which allows you to send a message or image to someone who is likely a stranger to you.  Please be respectful and keep the guidelines below in mind when communicating with anyone through the Services. 

You may not not post, link and otherwise make available on or through the Services any of the following:

Content that is illegal or unlawful;

Content that may infringe or violate any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of privacy, right of publicity or other intellectual or other right of any party; and

Viruses, corrupted data or other harmful, disruptive or destructive files or code.

Also, you agree that you will not do any of the following in connection with the Services or other users:

Use the Services in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, negatively affect or inhibit other users from fully enjoying the Services or that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the functioning of the Services;

Collect or use any personal information about other users;

Intimidate, abuse, defame, threaten, stalk or otherwise harass other users of the Services; and

Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any filtering, security measures, rate limits or other features designed to protect the Services, users of the Services, or third parties.

We will delete content in violation of these Community Guidelines and we reserve the right to escalate to law enforcement if we perceive a real risk of harm to others or their property.  To state the obvious:

Don't threaten others or organize to harm others. Do not threaten others, encourage or organize acts of violence, vandalism or other criminal activity, or recruit for or support organizations with a record of violent criminal or terrorist activity on or through the Services.

Don't share or encourage self-harm. Do not share, promote or encourage any self-inflicted or other harmful behaviors, including self-mutilation, eating disorders, and drug abuse. If you see such posts, please report them to us through our flagging system.

No hate speech. Do not to post any hate speech, including statements that attack individuals or people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition.

No obscenity or pornography. Do not post any content that is obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit or that includes nudity, and do not post any images that are excessively graphic, including images that depict gratuitous violence or that include bodily fluids or excretions.

Don't post people's private information. Do not publish otherwise private personal information about other people including, but not limited to, names, email addresses, addresses, phone numbers, and bank account information.

Don't post spam or harmful or illegal content. Don’t post spam or content intended for commercial purposes, such as driving traffic to other sites. Also, don’t use the Services as a channel to compromise accounts elsewhere or post any content that is illegal or may cause any harm to, or violate the rights of, other people.

We are not responsible for what our users send to one another or post on a third party site, and we do not guarantee that the Services will be free from content that violated the foregoing Community Guidelines. While we are not obligated to monitor or remove content posted by users, we reserve the right to do so in our sole discretion, including the removal of content that violates these Community Guidelines.

Enforcement of these Community Guidelines is solely at our discretion. Failure to enforce these guidelines does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce them, nor do these Community Guidelines create any obligations to users or any third party beneficiary rights or private rights of action.
